How to measure:
- Measure the board length along the center.
- Measure the board width at the widest point.
- View our size chart here.
For best accuracy, measure your ironing board top with your existing cover removed. If your ironing board measurements fall outside these dimensions, or you're unsure about what size will suit you best, shoot us an email at info@boredhome.com
If you need to wash your cover, the cotton ripstop may soften slightly. This is normal and won't affect performance. Refitting your cover while the fabric is still slightly damp will ease it back into shape as it dries.

100% Cotton Ripstop
Responsive to heat, gentle on fabric, naturally breathable so steam passes through cleanly. The ripstop weave adds structural resilience. A tight grid construction that reduces the risk or tears and prevents them from propagating, even under years of sustained use.
Open Cell Silicone Foam
A premium, industrial grade alternative. Open cell silicone foam maintains its structure, tolerates heat that would degrade conventional foam, and allows steam to move freely throughout the cover. No compressing over time, no crumbling under extreme heat.
100% Polyester Felt
Lines the steel mesh frame, and prevents the diamond perforations from working their way into your clothing. Creates an insulation barrier, trapping the heat in while allowing moisture to escape.
550 Paracord + Locking Toggle
A simple drawstring but not as you know it. Braided nylon 550 Paracord built for load-bearing applications. It's probably overkill, but it holds tension without stretching, fraying, or gradually loosening. A dual button toggle clamps each cord end independently, ensuring secure fit.

We’ve put together a sizing chart to make finding the right cover as simple as possible.
With your existing cover removed, measure the length of your ironing board top from the nose to the rear. Then measure the ironing board top width, ensuring this is taken from the widest point. Using the sizing chart, determine which cover size will best suit your board.

MELIA is designed to fit standard rectangular, tapered, and most free standing ironing board profiles in between. The drawstring tensioning system has been designed to accommodate varying widths and profiles without bunching or gaping. The most important factor when selecting a size is to measure your boards length and width. The shape will look after itself.
This is what sets us apart and you won't find it anywhere else. Three material layers, each chosen for a specific reason.
- Top - 100% Cotton Ripstop Breathable, heat-responsive, and resistant to tearing under sustained use.
- Padding - Open Cell Silicone Foam Holds its structure over time, where conventional polyester wadding compresses and degrades.
- Underlay - 100% Polyester Felt Smooths out diamond perforations and insulates the cover.
- Drawstring - 550 Paracord Braided nylon cord built for load-bearing applications. Tensioned by a locking toggle.
Longer than any cover you've owned before, if you treat it reasonably. The cotton ripstop is designed to resist tearing under normal use, the silicone foam won't compress and lose its resilience, and the paracord won't fray or snap.

Most ironing board covers rely on an elastic hem, thin cord, or some combination of both. This works adequately until it doesn't, then fails gradually until you've stopped noticing how frustrating it's become.
The MELIA cover uses a 550 Paracord drawstring tensioned by a strong toggle. It doesn't migrate, it doesn't loosen mid-session, and it doesn't snap. Fit it once and it stays fitted.
